Why smaller can absolutely be better!
You get to spend time with all your guests
Enjoy quality time with the important people in your lives.
We’ve all seen or heard about wedding guest counts (and price tags!) getting out of hand when planning. This is can be due to family or social media pressure. At some point, a lot of my couples have started to feel like it’s not even their wedding any longer. That they’re along for the ride.
You don’t need an excuse to have the wedding YOU actually want. You have full control over the guest list. You get to invite the most important people in your life to be there, and you actually have time to be with them.
Your day, your way
More time to enjoy your day. More time for photos, less stress about timelines or having to be anywhere!
We will also have all the time we need for photos, and we’re in control of the time of day we take them. At a traditional wedding, the photo session just kind of happens wherever it fits – which means non-ideal lighting conditions where you might not look your best. One of the main perks of a micro wedding is that we can schedule at the best time of day for photos. More flexibility in your schedule means less stress and less rushing around – amazing!

Becky’s top tips for planning your perfect micro wedding, elopement or vow renewal
No hidden costs, no surprises. Your gallery will be delivered via an online gallery, where you can share it with family and friends – no emailing jpegs! You’re also able to directly order prints and albums from the site. The option of USB sticks can be requested, and you can take your images wherever you like and get them printed to your own personal preference.
Pick your dream location. There are now fewer rules as to where you should have your ceremony.
Parks, locations, and businesses are all really going out of their way to be super accommodating these days, and that makes your life a lot easier. If in doubt, ask! If you’re worried about that, I’m happy to talk to them on your behalf.
Spend some of the money you’re saving on bringing in great vendors. Budgets usually get stressed really thin because of the number of guests at the wedding. This is your excuse to involve all of the vendors you would want to have for your dream wedding.
Set up an on-location dinner, or move to a restaurant. With smaller guest counts, it’s now possible to set up a small reception wherever you’d like. Again, whatever your dream location is for this, this is probably the only year that it will be possible to do.
The experience — step by step…
1: Get in touch
Get in touch! Fill out the contact form and we’ll schedule a chat, in person over coffee or on Zoom. I want to hear ALL about your plans so far and you can make sure I’m the best fit for your special day.
2: Book me!
If you’re happy and we vibe… it’s time to book! I’ll send over a contract, questionnaire and invoice. Once you’ve paid your 25% booking fee, your date is secured in my diary!
3: Planning
You can contact me any time for advice. If you have a pre-wedding shoot, we’ll get that scheduled in.
8 weeks before your special day you’ll receive your update questionnaire – this will go through EVERYTHING thats happening, timings, group photos, any special details.
4: More coffee required… (8-2 weeks before)
We’ll meet up or hop on a call to finalise all the details. To make sure I have the correct group photos, I know who’s who and what’s when.
That way you don’t have to think about anything on the day!
5: You’re getting married!
Your wedding! It’s your special day. I’ll be there organising the bits I need to and leaving you to enjoy your day as much as possible.
But don’t worry I’ll keep things flowing without being bossy. Help when you need it, disappear when you don’t!
Handle family dynamics with diplomacy. Watch for moments you don’t even see!
6: Sneak peeks (1 week after)
Within a week of your wedding, when the quiet settles in and the hustle and bustle is over, you’ll recieve a small preview gallery of your day. This giveds you some high quality images to share with friends and family.
They’re also perfect for personalised thnk you cards.
7: Gallery time! (6-8 weeks after)
Gallery Time! You’ll receive your online gallery, no hidden costs, no extra charges for downloads – you can share it with everyone you love.
This is usually between 6-8 weeks after your day (depending on the time year – summer gets BUSY!).
We couldn’t be happier with our choice of photographer for our wedding.
Becky was absolutely amazing. Her style is so original and refreshing —not the typical staged or boring photos you often see.
She worked so quickly and effortlessly that most of the time we hardly noticed she was there, yet somehow she managed to capture absolutely everything. Even our guests kept commenting on how wonderful she was!
We chose the Epic Extravaganza package, and it was worth every single minute. On our special day, Becky came with her assistant and they both seamlessly covered every part of the day, from the quiet moments while we were getting ready, through the ceremony, dinner, and right into the party.
Becky was our second shooter at our wedding and she was fabulous!
Her weird matched our weird in the best way possible and she went above and beyond for the shot, including risking life and limb during foam axe throwing.
It felt like a couple friends had come to our wedding and just happened to be taking photos.
Thank you so much, Becky!
What an AWESOME person.
We hired Becky for our Wedding, and from the initial emails, pre photo shoot, working with her at a stylised shoot, meet ups and then the wedding day itself, we cannot fault Becky.
Her photos of our wedding specifically are super, they capture the day, got the vibe we were going for, relaxed and fun loving! Guests commented all day and even now months on, about how lovely she was and it was like having another guest because Becky fit in so well. Come the evening we can say we had a great time, but we didn’t notice Becky once, (in the nicest, positive way) there was no camera in your face, no breaking a moment, just capturing it for us to share after, moments we didn’t see and some that we did and are so glad we’ve got forever.
We can’t praise Becky enough, we don’t plan to get married again, but if we had to wed have her again 100%.
Best photographer ever
Becky was absolutely incredible for our London wedding last month. From the very get-go, taking so much care over the details and preparations, to being prepared to sit in a cargo bike to shoot our bike convoy between the church and venue!
We are totally thrilled with the amazing photos she took, including lots of wonderful candid moments that we would have otherwise missed. Couldn’t recommend Becky more.
The best wedding photographer ever!!
A gem of a person and one hell of a photographer
We cannot thank Becky enough for capturing our wedding day so perfectly. She managed to document every little detail beautifully, from the DIY I slaved over for months to our nearest and dearest enjoying the day. Becky froze all of the moments in time for us to cherish forever.
As someone who is extremely self-conscious and anxious about being photographed, I never imagined I would feel like I did on my wedding day in front of the camera. Becky was patient, discreet, and even managed to make the whole process enjoyable —a true testament to her skill and warmth.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about her!
She was so friendly and professional, effortlessly blending into the event. Despite our natural awkwardness, she guided us with kindness, creating an end portfolio which is nothing short of stunning.
We are beyond grateful for her presence at our wedding and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer who goes above and beyond. Thank you, Becky, for being the amazing person and photographer that you are!
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything.
You were fantastic and really made us both feel at ease. The pictures are absolutely superb and we love them.
You have really made our day so magical and special and something we can treasure forever.
Thank you so much x
We had Becky photograph our wedding and cannot say a bad word about her or her work.
We immediately felt comfortable meeting her to discuss the wedding. She blended in with the guests who all had such great words about her.
The amount of pictures to relive our day are amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Thank you so much <3
OMG
We couldn’t help but have a Quick Look through on our hotel WiFi and by phone which definitely doesn’t do them justice but couldn’t wait to tell you that we absolutely love them.
An absolutely brilliant set of memories here and some excellent Easter eggs and surprises – you have been so thoughtful with what you took and there are photos of elements we didn’t know we wanted but now we have them we are ever so grateful.
You were just brilliant on the day and thank you for staying later.
Absolute legend.
Thank you ever so much for shooting some shit.
Amazing experience with Becky.
Herself and Emily at Lotus Photography are a dream team.
Becky was quick to be comfortable with the group of lads before the wedding day and made me feel as if I could ask for any photo and it would be perfect. Organisation and effort throughout the day and capturing moments we didn’t even think of were truly awesome!
Frequently Asked Questions
How do we secure our date?
A 25% Booking Fee secures your date in my diary, Full payment 30 days before Wedding date. Payment of the balance can be made at any time within the same tax year as your event date.
Please note: dates are not secured until the booking fee is paid and contract signed.
How many hours should I book?
Obviously each event is different and sometimes you need more of less coverage than you think – I will never try to over sell you on hours – adding extra hours just for the money isn’t my vibe – it doesn’t help me tell your story!
Bespoke Hourly 1-6 hours: Small Ceremony, Elopement/Micro Weddings – Arrival, Ceremony and Formals.
8 hours – Getting ready, Wedding party portraits before the ceremony, Ceremony, Formal Shots and start of reception OR Ceremony up to First Dance.
10-12 hours – Full day coverage, as 8 hours including first dance and evening reception.
Coverage is for continuous coverage for the time allotted.
How many photos will we get?
I don’t like to limit my coverage to a number, every Wedding is different and I like to capture everything from the shot list as well as those candid moments that unfold. From full day coverage a minimum of 400 photos isn’t unusual. But do bear in mind this can change depending on the amount of guests, how long your day is and how many group and portrait shots you have planned.
How will we receive our images?
High resolution edited jpegs will be supplied via and online private gallery. I aim to deliver a preview of your wedding within 1 week of the event.
RAW files will not be supplied under any circumstance.
I know you favour a documentary style – can we have groups photos?
Yes I do! Even though you don’t see many on my site. However, my style is primarily candid. I suggest limiting group shots to around 10 – not only do group shots take time, they take time out of your valuable day and guests can get a bit antsy!
You’ll receive a pre-wedding questionnaire to choose your group shots. Please be aware group photos take a lot of time and can eat into valuable cocktail and couple’s portrait time. Why not opt for a few main shots, family, wedding posse, besties…. then we can take fun group photos of everyone else as the day unfolds in a more relaxed, fun, natural style!
We don’t want a pre-wedding shoot – can we have a discount?
The Engagement/Family/Pre-Wedding Shoot is a complimentary bonus when you book a full-day package. The cost of which cannot be deducted if you decide not to use it. Pets absolutely count as family! bonus points for any dogs at weddings/shoots.
Do your packages include travel?
All packages include travel within 2.5 hours of BH21, excluding central London. Full-day weddings more than 2.5 hours away will incur a surcharge of £225 for accommodation and travel.
Do we need to feed you?
It would be wonderful if you could… As you know, Wedding days are long, from prep to reception is almost a full day in itself. Being properly fuelled for and during the day is vital for keeping energy levels topped up. Most venues will be able to offer you a “Vendor/Supplier” meal option which is cheaper than a head at the table!
I do, however follow a Plant Based lifestyle, if you’re unable to offer me a meal please let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly. I will take my main meal break during your meal – no one likes having their photo taking while scoffing down on something delicious! If you are having speeches during the meal please let me know so I can work my break times around this. I always appreciate being fed and watered
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured and have PLI should your venue require proof just let me know! I’m insured for £5m.
Do you accept credit cards?
No, sorry. I accept payment by Bank Transfer only. Your booking fee is only 25% of the total invoice. The balance needs to cleared 30 days before your date, otherwise photos will not be delivered until payment is complete.
What gear do you use?
I’m a Nikon girl. I shoot with with a mirrorless full frame set up and a variety of lenses, prime and zoom, lighting and back up equipment.
My cameras shoot to two card slots for real-time back ups and I back up your photos to an external hard drive as soon as I get home/to my hotel.
Will you “Photoshop” me?
In short, no. I do not “facetune”, “slim down” or “Photoshop” my photos. Retouching is limited to temporary blemishes. Image manipulation (often referred to as ‘Photoshopping’) – including but not limited to body sculpting, reshaping – is not included. My documentary style of photography and editing is capturing the memories and moments as they happen, in true-to-life colour and glory. You will pull a face when you laugh, or look a certain way, but that’s who you are and it is wonderful and it is why the person you’re marrying loves you.
