This is a tough challenge prompt! ONE PHOTO, ONE STORY. I see SO many photos and so many stories. Some are loud... all movement, chaos, dancing, tears of laugher and joy. Some are quiet, soft, and barely make a sound.

And then there are those single frames that stop me mid-edit and make me sit back like, oh… okay then. A look. A hand squeeze. One split second of emotion that somehow says everything without trying.

A picture can say a thousand words... and sometimes they do just that.

🥷 Don’t invite that weird uncle you haven’t seen in 7 years (unless he’s a ninja away on a secret mission) would you go for coffee with them? No, cool - get in the bin.
🎉 Double the confetti... actually no, TRIPLE it, buy alllll the @flutterdarlings
🍿 Have snacks in every room.
🫶🏻 Take five minutes alone together.
🧁 And most importantly: eat the cake! (or cheese, or whatever you're having!).

Day 18 of #weddingadventchallenge is all about Sillyness! Weddings are full of emotion …but they can also be gloriously unhinged in the best possible way.

It’s the mate who absolutely commits to the getting low, low low.
The flower girl skidding across the dancefloor like she’s in a 90s music video.
Someone splitting their trousers and just carrying on anyway.
These are the moments that aren’t curated or polished. They’re loud, daft, joyful and completely real.

And honestly? They’re usually the photos you end up loving the most... the real personalities you've invited into your lives, the people you love.

Digital photos are fab, but prints… prints are something else. Spending almost 20 years working in print before my photography life... I LOVE the smell of freshly printed ink.

There’s nothing like holding a memory in your hands... the weight of it, the texture, the permanence.

Albums on your coffee table, framed portraits in the hallway, those little stacks of prints you accidentally scatter everywhere... even instax stuck on the fridge which bring you a little bit of joy every time you reach for a cheeky snack.

Print your photos. It’s like giving your memories a proper home.

The big moments are easy to spot; the aisle walk,

The big moments are easy to spot; the aisle walk, the vows, the confetti, the first dance.

But threaded through all of that are the quieter in-between bits that really shape the day. It’s the deep breath before stepping outside, the hand that finds another hand without thinking, the look across the room that quietly checks in.

The pause between the noise. The moments you don’t plan for and probably don’t even realise are happening at the time.

They’re small, honest, and beautifully human … and they’re often the moments that help the whole story make sense.

No share, NO apologies... I will greet them before I greet you and I will absolutely narrate their every move like they’re the main character.

I always end up with ALOT of bonus photos: one formal portrait, one mid-zoomie, one goofy close-up, and usually a moment of me squealing “LOOK at their tiny face!”

Furry friends at weddings? I'm absolutely here for it!

If they can't make - like our poor feline friends who are usually left at home - giant cardboard cut outs.. bring them onto the dance floor! Include your animal family!

Every wedding has its MVPs — and half the time, they’re not the ones in the fancy outfits.

They’re the mates carrying ten bags at once, the bridesmaid who whips out safety pins like she’s Mary Poppins, the usher who somehow becomes Head of Crowd Control without anyone officially giving them the job, and the supplier who quietly performs three miracles before breakfast.

These humans keep the whole day stitched together while barely appearing in the spotlight, and I love catching little moments of them doing their thing — the quick fixes, the problem-solving, the whispered “don’t worry, I’ve got you.”

They’re the backbone of the day.
The chaos tamers (and creators).
The unsung heroes who deserve their own round of applause.
